Stewards of Christ’s Work
During the last few years we have embraced our mission of Opus Christi, by sharing in Christ’s Work. We receive God’s truth, beauty and goodness with faith, hope and love. As grateful stewards, we turn the Keys to the Kingdom. Gratitude empowers us to be OK and to discover the Good News of God’s presence in all things. We are learning and living our call to be Superheroes for Christ while off ering compassion as Companions on the Journey.
Good News is discovered as we share our time, talent and treasure with open hands. Good News is given as we wrap our gifts in prayer through spiritual, service and social ministry.
In solidarity with all other parishes in our Diocese, we are asking each household to reflect and decide on how we financially support our parish mission to do Christ’s Work. Each one of us has something to give. The Good News is that God is never outdone in sharing blessings. Our decision to give is the Key to the Kingdom when we make choices founded in faith.
Please review the contents of this brochure and consider how you can help our parish and continue Christ’s work. Our goal through this program is to substantially increase our regular off ertory contributions. Other parishes that have conducted similar programs have seen their off ertory increase between 20% and 40%. Please review the suggested guidelines for giving which are on your enclosed Commitment Card. A special Commitment Sunday will be held at Mass the weekend of January 21st and 22nd. Please bring the enclosed Commitment Card to Mass that weekend prepared to renew your weekly offertory gifts to support the works of St. Philip the Apostle Church.
With our anticipated increased off ertory, we hope to expand our Pastoral Care services in the areas of relationship and parenting workshops, bereavement and caretaker support, and spirituality programs.
I and our parish team, pictured below, are extremely grateful to you for your goodness. I thank you in advance for your understanding, kindness and support. Please be assured of our continued prayer for you and your loved ones. May the Lord Dona Nobis Pacem, Grant Us Peace.

St. Philip the Apostle Church offers Online Giving, an additional option for giving to the church.
Benefits to You
• No need to write checks or use cash
• Contributions are scheduled; no need to make up missed contributions
• If you prefer, a credit or debit card can be used as well
Online Giving is not meant to replace the traditional Sunday offertory collection; it enhances it. Many parishioners would rather have the option of giving without writing a check. It also gives you the opportunity to contribute to fi rst and/or second collections even if you are out of town, etc. Please consider this option.
How it Works
You may continue to use the offertory envelopes you currently receive in church. Just check off the “Online Giving” box. If you do not get envelopes but wish to, contact the Parish offi ce at 973-779-6200.
