Jesus Invites Philip and Us to Discipleship
The next day Jesus determined to go away to Galilee; and there he found Philip. Jesus said to him, ‘Follow me!’ Now Philip came from Bethsaida which was from the town from which Andrew and Peter came.
With a look of delight and approval Jesus catches Philip’s eye and reaches for his extended hand. Notice how Jesus and Philip are free from the frame of the window. Both extend themselves into our experience with an invitation to participate in their embrace.
