The Miracle of God’s Abundance
Jesus said, “Make them sit down.” There was much grass in this place. They sat down numbering about 5,000. Jesus took the loaves and gave thanks for them, dividing them up among those who were reclining and distributed them. Then he gave them the fish, as much as they wished. When they were satisfied, he said to the disciples, “Collect the pieces that are left over so that nothing may be wasted.” They collected them and filled 12 baskets to overflowing with what remained after the people had eaten their fill.
